Tesla is accepting purchase interest
Tesla says people interested in purchasing an individual Cybercab or a fleet for commercial purposes may submit its inquiry form. That is not the same as public ordering, delivery, or network approval.
Tesla Cybercab FAQ ↗Limited Cybercab rides operate in Austin
Tesla currently identifies limited areas of Austin as the only market with dedicated Cybercab rides. Other active Robotaxi markets use Model Y vehicles.

How to prepare for Cybercab ownership
Plan costs before buying
Model the vehicle, financing, energy, insurance, cleaning, tires, maintenance, storage and downtime. Use ranges until real owner pricing and fees are published.
Choose a business structure carefully
An LLC is not automatically required or best. Liability, tax and licensing needs vary, so ask qualified local professionals before deciding.
Verify commercial insurance
Personal auto coverage may not cover paid passenger service or autonomous commercial use. Obtain written confirmation of coverage before operating.
Design resilient charging
Estimate daily mileage and energy, validate site capacity, create a charging schedule and identify a practical backup location. Do not assume unannounced Cybercab specifications.
Protect uptime and cleanliness
Create repeatable inspection, cleaning, incident and maintenance records. Vehicle-level records become essential as a fleet grows.
Recheck rules at launch
Vehicle availability does not automatically establish network access or legal authority. Verify Tesla, registration, insurance and local operating requirements immediately before launch.
